team of helpers CCClub helpers

About 80-90 children attended our meetings every Saturday from 2-4 pm.

We had children and helpers from 7 churches of varying denominations and 1 Christian organization helping us

The kids had a great time praising and worshiping the Lord

We opened up the Word of God to little eyes through skits, songs, and stories. And emphasized the importance of applying the Word in our lives.

The children discovered that God was not just for the adults, but He was interested in them too!

And loves them just the way they are!

Parents were amazed by the transformation of their children. Now they were more obedient, could pray, worship the Lord, and could recite a good number of memory verses too!

We held a fabulous children’s day camp for about 90 children over a period of 2 weeks. Our purpose was to disciple and strengthen the faith of Christian children.

About 40 of the children were Christian children from a children's home for HIV+ children. About 21 children came from non-Christian homes, and these children's parents had signed a permission form giving their children permission to become Christians if they should so choose. The rest were children from different churches in the city.

Praise the Lord, all except four of these children turned their lives over to Jesus.  (We suspect that the parents of these four had told them that they wanted them to be in the program, but that they could not become Christians.)

In 8 days, we taught the children the foundations of the Christian faith and how they were special in God’s sight.

They learnt that they could call on God anytime, anywhere…

The Holy Spirit moved mightily during the whole program.

By the fifth day, many children were weeping during the worship and many of them experienced deep healing from God.

On the sixth day, most of the children were baptised in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues.

Although some of them were from churches that believe in the gifts of the Spirit, none of the children had been prayed for in this area because most people think that children are not ready for the things of the Spirit.

By the 7th day, children were seeing visions of Jesus, angels, golden ladders leading to heaven and spiritual warfare in the heavenlies!  They were also laying hands on each other to pray for healing.

When it was game time the children, especially the boys, asked if they could just worship God instead of going to play games!

This camp was planned as a spiritual encounter camp for the children and by the end of the camp almost every child had had a meeting with the living God!

Praise the Lord for all the good things that He is doing. Parents of the children are very excited. Some have reported that this is the first time that their children are so enthusiastic about worship; and one mother reported that her son, who used to be addicted to television, came home and told her to switch off the television because it was time to read the Bible!

Theme: We can pray for the nations
Date: October 9 - 12, 2007

300 children and 70 adults, from as far away as Chiangrai, Chiangmai, Bangkok and Phuket, gathered in Khon Kaen from Oct 9–12, 2007 for a prayer camp to intercede for Thailand and the Nations.

Prayer Bricks
We taught the children about prayer being likened to standing in the gap when there are gaps in a wall. The children collected a prayer brick to build up the prayer wall each time they prayed in the hearing of an adult.

To our amazement, the children were using any available time they could to pray! They were praying in small groups with their teachers, praying with their prayer buddies, praying during break times, and praying during any time they could get an adult to sit with them!  When their own portion of the prayer wall got filled up, some children began collecting prayer bricks of a different colour for their friends!

Fast and Pray
We had optional fasting time during 2 lunch times.  About 20 to 40 children participated in these lunch time fasts with all their hearts, the youngest being a four year old boy!

Holy Spirit Night
On Oct 10, God prompted us to give every child an opportunity to receive the Holy Spirit. Some had already been baptized in the Holy Spirit at the previous camp in March 2007, and some said they were not ready. In all, about 250 children raised their hands to indicate that they wanted the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  It was a glorious night!

Every child who asked for the Holy Spirit spoke in tongues and was touched by the Holy Spirit.  Teachers reported that some children continued speaking in tongues in their sleep! Many children had dreams, visions, and special visitations from the Lord.  It was awesome!

Praying for Thailand
Praying was becoming a lot of fun for the children.  One morning, they traveled all over the camp to pray for Thailand, visiting different booths set up by regions.

At the North Thailand booth, they learnt about the problems in that region.  They stood in basins of water and prayed for the victims of the floods in North Thailand.

At the Northeastern booth, they held handfuls of rice and asked God to bless Northeastern Thailand with a double harvest.

At the Southern booth, they popped war balloons and prayed about the terrorist problem in the South.

At the Central booth, they wore headbands and prayed about the political unrest in Bangkok.

It was a time when the children began to know about the issues in their nation, and they learnt to cry out to God for their country.

Praying for the nations
Children prayed in groups for the needs of various nations on the world map. They laid hands on nations they had never visited, and cried out to the Lord for the salvation of these nations.

Lord, we ask for the Nations…

On the final evening, as one child after another prayed for the nations, a candle was lit for each prayer.  As more prayers were offered and more candles lit, the room brightened up and the children knew that their prayers were making a difference for the world.

The children of Thailand are committed to being kingdom intercessors
During this camp, these children committed themselves to becoming intercessors for their nation and their world.  On the final morning, they went into their groups and discussed how they were going to fulfill their commitments.  Some groups wanted to have children's prayer meetings in their churches; one group talked about doing a prayer wall in their church.

During this camp, the Lord did an amazing work in the children! The children are now doing things that they have never done before.  One parent told me that their children now intercede for the children of the nations with tears and weeping.  (She said that the only time that her children had wept like this before was when they were spanked!)
ALL GLORY TO GOD!
